CHARITY AUCTION GROWING

Charity auctions accounted for $14.6 billion of the total $240 billion in the industry in
2005, and was one of the highest niche categories contributing to the total dollar
revenues of the industry.
While the gross revenues in the charity auction industry rose only slightly between
2005 and 2004 ($14.6 from $14.5 billion), it is believed this niche has been growing
for many years as more professional Auctioneers are hired
by charity organizations. Instead of hiring a local celebrity as in the past, many
groups are learning that the professional Auctioneer can raise more money, provide
greater entertainment and protect the organization from problems and legal
liabilities that can occur from an amateur’s ignorance of how to run a fundraising
auction. Charity auction revenues are expected to keep rising in future years.

Charity auctions are the fourth-fastest growing segment of the auction industry.
Since 2003, total growth of this auction segment has increased 16.3%.

My name is Tim Talbott and I am the Chapter Chairman for the Phoenix Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk
Foundation (RMEF).  Our annual Big Game Banquet was on July 28, and for the first time we hired the
services of Winning Run Auctioneers.  I can honestly say that they were absolutely amazing and were the
best auctioneers that we have used.  They increased our revenues by 22%,   with half the attendance
compared to last year.  During the evening they were also very entertaining and kept the crowd involved
and excited about the auction.  We will definitely be hiring Winning Run Auctioneers for next years
banquet.   They were so good that the Vice President of the RMEF approached them about the possibility
of providing services for the National banquet.

I strongly recommend Winning Run Auctioneers to other organizations to utilize.  They are worth every
penny spent on their services.
